Ocean in the Moonlight, a Knitting Pattern by Christine Long Derks.
Ocean in the Moonlight Shawl is a lovely knitting pattern with a simple pattern repeat that is unbelievably GORGEOUS in a hand dyed semi solid lace yarn. Recommended yarn is Treasure Goddess Silk Treasures Lace Yarn, which has superfine merino and silk. Try to use something with silk or bamboo as that gives luscious drape! One skein knits up into a full sized shawl.
This shawl is light and floaty yet quite warm. Perfect for throwing over your shoulders in summer air conditioning or for wrapping for warmth in the fall/winter too!
The pattern reminds me of patterns of the moonlight on the ocean waters, shimmery and fluid.
Pattern is knit with simple lace stitches, knit, purl, YO, k2tog, SSK. Every even row is a simple purl back.
Treasure Yourself or make this lovely shawl for a gift! Happy Creating!
